It entered the waters of our country from the Amur River in the Far East in 1963. Thanks to its tasty meat and its role in the maintenance of lakes overgrown with aquatic plants, it quickly spread and is of great economic importance, not least as an excellent fishing fish. It also plays an important role in our lakes by keeping reeds and sedges under control. Breams

Among our native species of breams the bream (Abramis brama), the roach (Rutilus rutilus), the common rudd (Scardinius erythrophthalmus) are found in our lakes.
